Netspeak Games raises $12m in Series A funding led by Lakestar and Project A to launch its debut title.
The London-based studio secured backing from Lakestar and Project A to expand its team and scale the launch of Sunshine Days.

Netspeak Games is a London-based remote-first games studio established in 2019, focused on building community-driven multiplayer titles.
London-based games studio Netspeak Games has secured $12m in a Series A funding round to support the launch of its debut title, Sunshine Days. The investment was co-led by Lakestar and Project A, with participation from Makers Fund and several industry figures.
The company will direct the capital towards team expansion and market acceleration for its flagship title, Sunshine Days, which is currently available in early access on mobile platforms. This latest injection brings the total capital raised by the studio to $16m.
Chief executive Callum Brighting noted the resilience of the team in building the company through the pandemic whilst maintaining a focus on studio culture. Lakestar managing partner Mika Salmi cited the studio's distinct approach to title development and internal culture as key drivers for the investment.
