The capital will support team expansion and product development as demand for corporate ESG solutions grows.
Neighbourly is a community investment and engagement platform that connects businesses with local charities and causes. The company helps organisations manage volunteer time, financial donations, and surplus product distribution.
Neighbourly has secured £1.6m in a Series A follow-on funding round led by Guinness Ventures. The platform plans to direct the new capital towards expanding its team and accelerating product and brand development.
Founded in 2014, the company connects commercial enterprises with local community organisations to channel volunteer hours, financial support, and surplus goods. Demand has risen over the past year as businesses face increased pressure to deliver on environmental, social, and governance objectives.
The firm recently received a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the innovation category and estimates that its platform assists more than 7.6m people across the UK and Ireland weekly. Recent additions to its client roster include Virgin Media O2, Sainsbury's, and Getir.
