Move AI provides a platform that allows users to capture and create 3D animations from human movement using standard cameras. Its proprietary software uses artificial intelligence, computer vision, biomechanics, and physics to extract natural motion data.

Move AI has secured £8.2m in seed funding to expand its engineering, research, marketing, and sales teams while accelerating the development of its AI powered 3D animation technology. The round was backed by investors including Play Ventures, Warner Music Group, RKKVC, Level2 Ventures, and Animoca Brands.

The London based company provides markerless motion capture tools that eliminate the need for expensive suits and specialised hardware, enabling creators to generate 3D data from standard cameras or iPhones. Its single camera product, Move One, is currently undergoing invite only beta testing ahead of a wider public launch.

The fresh capital will support the business as it works to democratise character animation and reduce production timelines for the gaming industry and user generated content creators.
