A digital bank providing personal and business financial services, accounts, and tools.
Monzo has secured $430m in a funding round led by CapitalG, Alphabet's independent growth fund. The investment values the London-based digital bank at $5bn following a period of record growth and profitability.
The round drew participation from GV, HSG, and existing backers Passion Capital and Tencent. The fresh capital will be deployed to accelerate the company's ongoing expansion plans and support new product development.
The raise follows strong customer acquisition figures, with the platform passing 9m retail users alongside significant traction in its business banking segment. Monzo intends to use the backing to scale its operations further.
