MIME Technologies secures £255k seed funding from Equity Gap and Scottish Investment Bank to scale operations

MIME Technologies is a medical technology spin-out from the University of Aberdeen that develops in-flight health monitoring systems for cabin crew. Its software links patient vital signs directly to medical professionals on the ground.
MIME Technologies has secured £255k in seed funding from Equity Gap investors and the Scottish Investment Bank alongside a Scottish Enterprise grant. The capital will be deployed to drive customer growth and create technical and operational positions within the business.
The Inverness-based company builds digital health monitoring tools designed to assist cabin crew during medical incidents in transit. Its technology captures vital signs and relays data to remote clinicians, easing handovers when flights must divert.
The round follows field trials with a global aviation operator and aims to position the firm for broader adoption among international carriers.
