Metaview has secured £4.5m in a seed funding round led by Vertex Ventures US to accelerate its growth. The company provides an interview intelligence platform designed to help fast-scaling businesses optimise their hiring processes through data and transcription tools.
Additional participants in the round include Fly Ventures, Seedcamp, Village Global, PrimeSet, Moving Capital, and Palumni. The fresh capital will be directed towards product development, scaling team size threefold through 2022, and expanding market presence across Europe and the US.
Metaview has experienced rapid growth, expanding more than 300% year-on-year with backing from prominent technology investors. The platform is utilised by high-growth companies such as Robinhood, Anduril, AngelList, and Hudl to reduce hiring bias and improve decision-making.
From the founder
"Our mission is to power hiring decisions with truth. The best companies know it’s their people that determine their ability to succeed as an organisation. Yet for the longest time they’ve been recruiting based on guesswork, memory, and bias. Previously, any data that was used to improve hiring performance only ever measured the symptoms, never the causes. Now we can bring transparency to the previously opaque interview process, and use technology to improve the most important moments in hiring."

Investor perspective
"As former founders and operators, we understand how consequential hiring decisions are, yet the process is inconsistent, opaque, and full of unconscious bias. We’re excited to support Metaview as they bring transparency to job interviews, and insights to interviewers about how best to improve their tactics."
