Meshed raises £950k in pre-seed funding led by Haatch to scale its artificial intelligence insurance platform.
Haatch led the pre-seed round for the artificial intelligence native insurance broker to expand its engineering and data teams.
Meshed operates as an artificial intelligence native insurance broker serving small and medium sized businesses across the United Kingdom. The firm automates administrative tasks to reduce commissions and improve pricing transparency.
Meshed has secured £950k in pre-seed funding led by Haatch, with additional participation from Aviva through Founders Factory and the Exponential Science Foundation, alongside several angels. The capital will be deployed to scale the firm's technology infrastructure and expand the headcount across engineering, data science, and insurance sectors. This financing arrives concurrently with the business receiving regulatory authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority as an Appointed Representative, positioning it to address widespread underinsurance among British small enterprises through automated broking solutions.
From the founder
"After nearly 20 years in the industry, I’ve seen just how little has changed. Insurance is still too reliant on paperwork, underinsurance is far too common, and fees are often higher than they should be. We built Meshed to change that, to bring costs down for SMEs, give them the right protection and make the whole process faster, simpler, and more transparent."

Investor perspective
"We always want to be on the leading edge of enabling our customers to protect themselves as much as they possibly need to and can. In order to do that, we need to keep finding the latest and the brightest [start-ups]."
