The funding round was led by Episode 1 Ventures to support hospital expansion.
MediShout is a digital platform that unifies hospital helpdesks and medical suppliers into a single application. It uses predictive analytics to help healthcare staff track operational problems and anticipate issues before they disrupt care.
MediShout has secured £1m in a seed round led by Episode 1 Ventures. The fresh capital will enable the team to expand its software platform from six to over twenty hospitals within eighteen months. Founded by NHS surgeon Ash Kalraiya, the company aims to eliminate logistical delays and improve operational efficiency across healthcare settings.
The application connects frontline personnel directly with equipment suppliers and maintenance teams, allowing staff to report faults easily. Independent research indicates that adopting the platform could save individual NHS hospitals significant sums annually. During the pandemic, the technology also assisted with personal protective equipment allocation.
The business draws on clinical expertise from its leadership, including Chief Product Officer Ali Nehme Bahsoun. With backing from investors experienced in digital health, the firm continues to scale its smart building approach to hospital administration.
From the founder
"As a surgeon, I have all too often been delayed by items like lightbulbs in the theatre being broken, faulty equipment or not having the right stock when I need it. We founded MediShout to stop such frustrating issues from getting in the way of patient care. Our ultimate vision is to use AI and digital technologies to transform our hospitals into smart-buildings that run smoothly."

Investor perspective
"Hospital facilities have been left behind by digital innovation for too long. As doctors and product designers, this team really understands how technology and AI can help frontline hospital staff be more effective. We are hugely excited by the positive impact that MediShout will have"
