Digital healthcare provider MedicSpot has closed an oversubscribed £150k SEIS funding round with backing from Henley Business Angels. The investment forms part of a wider £1m fundraising effort by the company.

Approved by the CQC, MedicSpot operates a private GP service delivered through telehealth connections in pharmacy consulting rooms. The firm has seen its revenue double over the preceding two months alongside positive unit economics.

The capital from the raise will be directed towards scaling the service to 300 pharmacies across major British cities and growing patient numbers tenfold over the course of the year.
