Maximum Information has secured £2.3m in seed funding to accelerate the development of its catastrophe modelling middleware, MagniPhi. The investment round was led by Insurtech Gateway, with additional participation from Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, Convex and Portfolio Ventures.
The capital will support the company as it builds out analytics tools intended to help risk carriers navigate complex peril patterns and address the global protection gap. The raise comes amid growing economic losses from natural catastrophes and increasing demand for agnostic translation layers in disaster risk management.
