Martello secures £1.2m seed investment led by Fuel Ventures to scale its AI property risk platform
The seed round was led by Fuel Ventures with backing from property and environmental law angel investors.
Martello is a property data intelligence company based in the UK that transforms environmental risk assessment during property transactions. The platform replaces traditional PDF reports with AI-driven insights to streamline conveyancing.
Martello has secured £1.2m in a seed funding round led by Fuel Ventures, with participation from strategic angel investors. The fresh capital will support the company as it accelerates the launch of its artificial intelligence platform designed to modernise environmental search reports for property transactions.
The firm aims to replace legacy PDF reports with real-time data analysis, helping lawyers and buyers navigate property risks such as flooding and contamination more efficiently. Having operated in the market for 15 months, Martello is collaborating with established law firms to refine its reporting tools.
From the founder
"In my opinion, the foundations of Environmental searches haven’t changed in 20 years—and they’re often ambiguous, ,, and risk-prone. Martello is bringing much-needed clarity to an increasingly critical part of the conveyancing process. With this funding, we’re building a platform that helps everyone involved in a property transaction make faster, more informed decisions."

Investor perspective
"We’re thrilled to back Martello at this early stage. The founding team brings a unique combination of legal domain knowledge and technical innovation, and they’re tackling a problem that’s long overdue for disruption. With deep insight into the conveyancing process and strong backing from industry insiders, Martello is well positioned to become the new standard for environmental risk reporting in UK property."
