m3ter provides a pricing operations platform that helps software businesses implement and manage usage-based pricing models. The company plugs directly into existing tech stacks to capture usage data and generate accurate bills.

London-based pricing infrastructure provider m3ter has secured £13m in seed funding to support its international expansion and product development. Kindred Capital led the financing round, with participation from Union Square Ventures, Insight Partners, and several prominent angel investors. The capital will be deployed to scale the team across Europe and the United States while advancing analytics tooling for sales and finance teams.

The company emerged from stealth mode alongside the funding announcement, capitalising on growing demand for usage-based pricing models in the software sector. M3ter's platform aims to automate complex billing operations by capturing granular usage data and integrating smoothly with existing enterprise software stacks.

From the founder

"Usage-based pricing offers huge rewards for SaaS businesses, but it isn’t easy to implement. We experienced the pain ourselves when building our previous startup, but we also saw what good tooling can look like at AWS. Today, we’re proud to launch m3ter so that all SaaS businesses can intelligently deploy and manage usage-based pricing."
