London based climate tech company Lune has secured a 4m dollar seed investment led by Crane, alongside participation from fifteen angel investors. The fresh capital will primarily support team expansion and product development as the firm scales its commercial operations.
Lune provides application programming interfaces and low code tools that allow businesses to calculate emissions and fund carbon removal directly within their services. The startup counts firms such as TrueLayer, Yapily, and Budbee among its early users.
Participants in the angel contingent included prominent figures from technology companies, such as Maximilian Tayenthal, Fredrik Hjelm, and Tony Jamous.
Investor perspective
"Lune's innovation has come at the right time. There's never been more interest in climate and sustainability – from consumers and businesses alike. As investors, we've seen how every company has become a software company over the past decade. Similarly, we believe that Lune will enable every company to become a climate company."
