Lucida AI secures $7m seed funding led by Velocity Capital to expand its speech platform
The London-headquartered speech AI platform raised the capital from backers including Velocity Capital and Next Tier Ventures.
Lucida AI operates a speech-to-speech language learning and communication platform featuring mobile applications for consumers and secure enterprise solutions.
Lucida AI has secured $7m in a seed funding round led by Velocity Capital. The company will direct the capital towards scaling its product development, expanding its enterprise operations globally, and adding new languages.
Founded in Istanbul in 2024 and currently headquartered in London, the speech AI platform offers voice-based coaching designed to build fluency without relying on traditional text drills. The latest financing brings the firm's total capital raised to $8.3m, following a previous $1.3m pre-seed round.
Additional participants in the current round include Next Tier Ventures, Look AI Ventures, Bogazici Ventures, Yapı Kredi Frwrd Ventures, and Ünlü & Co.
