Lifted raises £1.6m in a seed round led by Fuel Ventures to expand home care technology.
Fuel Ventures led the seed financing, which brings the company total funding to £3.1m.
Lifted operates a care technology platform designed to improve home care experiences for families and working conditions for carers. The company provides management tools and resources to help people navigate the social care sector.
London based care technology provider Lifted has secured £1.6m in a seed round headed by Fuel Ventures. Additional participants in the financing include Vitry Enfants and Marc Cohen of 1818 Venture Capital, bringing the firm total funding to £3.1m since its initial incubation by British Gas and Zero 1. The capital will be directed towards expanding the company service offering, developing new engagement tools, and advancing artificial intelligence capabilities for automated coaching.
Founded by Rachael Crook and Sam Cohen, Lifted employs care workers directly while offering round the clock support and training through its proprietary Care Management Platform. The system centralises operational data, connects families with carers, and provides wellbeing insights to navigate the home care sector. The latest injection of capital allows the business to scale its operations while addressing systemic challenges in the care industry.
From the founder
"As the current pandemic has made clear, care is in crisis. At Lifted we are on a mission to fix it."

Investor perspective
"We’re incredibly excited to be leading this latest round of investment. We’ve seen several propositions that are looking to innovate the care sector, but Lifted really impressed us. Lifted’s approach of employing carers, paying a living wage and empowering them to do their work through software is why they will continue to grow quickly. The care sector is highly fragmented and both carers and patients are very dispersed, so creating a solution that works for both sides is incredibly important if we’re going to create real change."
