LemonEdge provides a low-code accounting and reporting platform designed for the private capital industry. Its cloud-native technology helps firms automate complex workflows and replace legacy spreadsheet processes.

LemonEdge has secured £3m in a seed follow-on financing round led by Blackstone Innovation Investments, bringing its total capital raised to date to $7m. The fresh capital will be deployed to accelerate the company's ongoing expansion and further modernise accounting operations across the private capital sector.

The latest investment follows strong commercial traction for the London-based company, which recently added Kensington Capital Partners to its client roster. Existing backers, including Sidekick Partners and prominent angel investors, also participated in the round.

From the founder

"The growing requirement by Private Capital firms to have the highest efficiencies, while dealing with complexity in an agile manner is becoming more of a prerequisite for staying ahead in the market. Firms are looking for ways to deliver efficient, accurate content to clients with the goal to ultimately provide the highest level of client service in a timely manner. There is no longer the leeway to process calculations outside of systems, manually post multiple transactions, or run separate solutions for the end-to-end accounting and middle office."
