Legado secures £600k from Prudential and FNZ to launch legacy planning platform

Legado

Prudential and FNZ jointly led the six-figure investment into the digital vault startup.

£600KSeed

Legado operates an online life organisation and legacy planning platform that allows users to securely store and share personal documents. The digital vault service is available directly to consumers or as a co-branded product for enterprises.

Legado has secured £600k in seed funding from Prudential and FNZ to support the launch of its digital life organisation platform. The investment from the two savings and investment firms will help the company roll out its secure document vault for consumers and corporate partners. The fresh capital follows an earlier £50k grant from Innovate UK.

The platform enables individuals to store wills, policies, and personal records in a centralised digital vault with two-factor authentication. Enterprises can also integrate the service to transition paper-based customer journeys into digital workflows.

From the founder

"Life organisation and Legacy planning is something that can fill many with dread. While it is understandably a sensitive subject and strenuous task, it’s important that services like ours make it as easy as possible to prepare for life’s unexpected events. It’s important to highlight how it is never too early to think about the future and to keep plans updated throughout your life."
