Leading Sports and Media is a Cardiff based sports promotion and digital marketing enterprise focused on professional cycling. The company provides commercial development for races and teams, and plans to launch the Lead Cycle Tour Euro Cup series.
Leading Sports and Media has secured a six figure investment led by Startup Funding Club and an angel investor connected to Severn Seed Finance. The capital will support the commercial development and upcoming launch of the Lead Cycle Tour Euro Cup series, a newly structured competition designed to improve sponsorship and advertising returns across professional cycling.
The firm worked alongside Cardiff based Severn Seed Finance to refine its funding proposition before presenting to London based Startup Funding Club. The funding follows the acquisition of business rights to 20 prominent European road cycling races and will help establish operations at a new office base in Bridgend while supporting initial recruitment.
The initial events for the Lead Cycle Tour Euro Cup are scheduled to take place in Spain and Italy during the spring, with commercial sales reported to be tracking ahead of internal targets.
