Laverock Therapeutics develops a gene silencing platform to create programmable advanced therapies for human applications. The firm commercialises the gene editing induced gene silencing technology.
Laverock Therapeutics has expanded its seed round to £13.5m in a financing led by Calculus Capital. Additional backing came from Eli Lilly and Company, Mercia Ventures, Maven Capital Partners, Eos, UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund, and Tekfen Ventures.
The capital will support the ongoing development of the GEiGS technology and advance the company pipeline in regenerative medicine and immuno-oncology. Key priorities include moving candidates through in vitro and in vivo validation, expanding laboratory facilities, and growing the headcount.
The business was founded in 2021 to commercialise gene editing induced gene silencing for human therapeutic applications.
