On-demand laundry provider Laundryheap has secured £2m in angel funding, led by Simon Smith and QVentures. The capital follows a previously bootstrapped period during which the firm achieved significant year-on-year growth and expanded its operations to several major urban markets.
The company will direct the new funds towards international expansion, aiming to establish a presence in four additional European cities before the conclusion of the year. Laundryheap has reported strong financial performance with £2m in revenue over the past year and continues to scale its delivery operations.
Founder and chief executive Deyan Dimitrov noted that the investment will support the company's objective of capturing market leadership across Europe within the next year.
