Latent Labs secures £40m Series A funding co-led by Radical Ventures and Sofinnova Partners.

The financing round was co-led by Radical Ventures and Sofinnova Partners to accelerate the development of programmable biology tools.

Latent Labs builds artificial intelligence foundation models designed to make biology programmable and accelerate drug design. The company operates research and laboratory facilities in London and San Francisco.

Latent Labs has emerged from stealth with a £40m Series A funding round co-led by Radical Ventures and Sofinnova Partners. The capital injection also drew participation from Flying Fish, Isomer, 8VC, Kindred Capital and Pillar VC, alongside several prominent angel investors. The enterprise focuses on developing generative biological tools that allow researchers to engineer new therapeutic molecules and speed up pharmaceutical development.
