LatchAid operates a digital platform that combines 3D interactive technology with peer support to assist mothers with breastfeeding and early parenthood. The firm addresses maternal health challenges by providing round-the-clock guidance and combating postnatal isolation.

Femtech start-up LatchAid has secured £1m in a seed financing round to expand its team and scale its B2B offerings. The capital arrived through a combination of innovation loans, convertible notes, and equity backing from prominent business angels.

The funding effort was spearheaded by former Google UK managing director Dan Cobley. Additional participants in the syndicate include high-profile investors Eileen Burbidge and Priya Oberoi, alongside support from Innovate UK and the KQ Labs accelerator programme.

The newly acquired funds will be deployed to enlarge both commercial and technical operations. LatchAid intends to roll out licensed prescription versions for healthcare providers, employee benefit packages for corporations, and integration into health insurance policies.
