Lapse has secured £23.6m in a Series A financing round co-led by Greylock and DST Global Partners. The capital injection follows a period of rapid expansion that propelled the application to the top of major app store charts.

Returning backers GV, Octopus Ventures, and Speedinvest participated in the raise alongside a group of notable angel investors. The company intends to allocate the new funds towards engineering expansion and ongoing product enhancements driven by community feedback.

From the founder

"Lapse doesn't let you upload or edit in ways that other platforms encourage, Everyone on Lapse plays by the same rules, which creates a space where it's OK to share all moments, not just the glamorous."
