The funding will support engineering growth and artificial intelligence development as global demand for secure operational tools increases.
Labrys builds secure operational and payment infrastructure designed for managing globally dispersed teams in complex environments. Its flagship platform Axiom combines task management, encrypted communications and stablecoin disbursement.
London-based technology firm Labrys has secured £14.7m in a funding round led by Plural, with additional participation from AlbionVC, Superangel, Project A, MDOne, Expeditions Fund and Marque Ventures. The fresh capital brings the company's total funding to $25.5m. Labrys plans to direct the proceeds towards scaling its engineering and operations teams, developing artificial intelligence capabilities and introducing new deployment models to meet rising global demand for secure operational tools.
Founded by military veterans August Lersten and Luke Wattam, the company provides Axiom, an end-to-end command and control platform that incorporates biometric verification, geo-tagging and stablecoin payments. The system is designed to help humanitarian organisations, logistics providers and defence forces coordinate workforces in volatile regions lacking traditional banking infrastructure. Since raising its seed round in 2023, the firm has achieved seven-figure annual revenues through contracts spanning government clients, logistics and disaster response.
From the founder
"Being unable to verify if a person can be trusted, if a task has been completed or work out how to pay them has been preventing successful humanitarian, aid and military missions for too long. Yet solving the issues has historically been considered too complex and too difficult, leaving organisations stuck using disparate and insecure platforms. We created Labrys to solve these tough workforce and team coordination problems in logistics, risk and humanitarian crisis response and we’ve built a talented team to tackle the hardest technical problems in this space. We’re delighted to be backed by investors who understand this mission and want to build the future of trusted infrastructure right alongside us."
