LabCycle has secured £430k in a new funding round to advance its circular economy technology for laboratory plastics. The capital includes £180k from the British Design Fund alongside a £250k grant from the Innovate UK Investment Partnership.
The company is scaling its operations to address the millions of tonnes of plastic waste generated annually by research and healthcare laboratories. Its AutoDecon system recycles contaminated materials without relying on high heat or pressure.
The fresh funding will support the team as they execute their scaling strategy and meet commercial demand from universities, private firms, and the NHS.
