Komi raises £4.1m in a seed round led by Contour Venture Partners to expand its creator platform.
The seed financing was led by Contour Venture Partners with backing from notable music labels, management agencies, and high-profile angel investors.
Komi operates an all-in-one creator commerce platform designed to help content creators maximise their commercial potential. The business provides digital storefronts and related tools to connect talent with audiences across multiple channels.
Creator platform Komi has secured £4.1m in a seed round led by Contour Venture Partners. The financing drew participation from strategic backers including major music labels, Red Light Music Management, Get Engaged Media, and celebrity users. High-profile angels also backed the company, including Mario Gotze, Taylor Hill, Ben Lovett, and Sven Ahrens.
Operating an invite-only model, Komi partners with prominent figures across music, sport, and entertainment who command a collective audience exceeding one billion fans. The platform acts as a centralised home for digital creators, consolidating disparate revenue streams, content, and merchandising into a single personalised destination.
The fresh capital will support the company as it scales its operations and expands its suite of digital tools for creators and their management teams. Komi plans to open its platform to the wider public in early 2023 following a period of rapid growth in fan engagement.
From the founder
"Komi was built to empower creators. Millions of individuals across the world generate revenue from their online profile, but many lack the digital tool-set they need. Komi are working closely with the world’s top creators and their teams to build the ‘all-in-one’ product suite needed to build a deeper, direct and more rewarding relationship with their audience. Whilst we are currently still invite-only, we are looking forward to opening up the platform in early 2023."
