KodyPay secures £1.8m in a seed round led by Cognition Foundry and Hank Uberoi

KodyPay provides a platform as a service offering that modernises commerce operations for large enterprises with physical sites. Its integrated financial infrastructure helps businesses cut costs and improve customer retention.

FinTech start-up KodyPay has secured £1.8m in a seed financing round led by Cognition Foundry and Hank Uberoi. The company, co-founded by Yao-Yun Chang and Jack Howell, will use the capital to support its payment platform.

The investment also brings Hank Uberoi to the board as chairman. Uberoi brings prior experience from Goldman Sachs, Citadel Investment Group, and Earthport.

KodyPay runs its technology on IBM Z Systems through a partnership with TES Enterprise Solutions and Cognition Foundry. The platform also integrates with Cybersource to provide a modular payment stack for merchants.
