Kinomica secures £3.9m in seed funding led by BGF and Longwall Venture Partners to scale operations.

Kinomica is a proteomic data science and diagnostics company that develops pioneering cell signalling bioinformatics and biomarker platforms for precision medicine. Headquartered in Alderley Park, the business provides innovative tools to aid the development of kinase inhibitor drugs and cancer treatments.

Proteomic data science specialist Kinomica has secured £3.9m in a seed funding round led jointly by BGF and Longwall Venture Partners. Additional capital was provided by seed investors including BioCity, Alderley Park Ventures, and London family office Puffin Point. The fresh injection of capital will be directed towards scaling up operational facilities and equipment to support a growing pipeline of projects.

Kinomica intends to leverage its proprietary KScan platform to accelerate the development of kinase inhibitor drugs and improve patient stratification for clinical trials. The company has already established commercial partnerships with major pharmaceutical firms such as AstraZeneca. The latest financing marks a significant milestone as the firm pursues its ambition of becoming a global leader in cell signalling bioinformatics.
