£17.8MSeries A

Kheiron Medical Technologies is an applied science company that builds machine learning software to support cancer diagnostics and improve patient outcomes.

Kheiron Medical Technologies has secured £17.8m in a Series A funding round led by Atomico. The investment also drew participation from Connect Ventures, Greycroft, Hoxton Ventures, and EXOR Seeds. The capital will be deployed to expand clinical validation for the company's breast cancer detection software, Mia, through large-scale clinical trials and international roll-outs across Europe, the United States, and Asia.

The London-based firm aims to address mounting pressures on radiology departments by helping clinicians analyse mammography images more accurately. Atomico Principal Irina Haivas will join the board as part of the transaction.
