KETS Quantum Security builds chip-based hardware designed to protect critical data from emerging quantum-computing threats. The company provides quantum-safe encryption development kits for sectors such as telecommunications and financial services.
Bristol-based KETS Quantum Security has raised £3.1m in a seed follow-on round co-led by Quantonation and Speedinvest, with participation from Mustard Seed MAZE. The fresh capital will be directed towards accelerating product development, manufacturing, and delivery, alongside expanding ongoing trials in real-world environments.
The company specialises in quantum-safe hardware solutions, including Quantum Key Distribution and Quantum Random Number Generators, to defend against anticipated decryption attacks from quantum computers. Founded as a spin-out from the University of Bristol, KETS is scaling its operations internationally, having recently established an office in Paris.
