Kama secures £2.5m in seed funding led by AlleyCorp, Female Founders Fund, and January Ventures to launch its sexual wellness app.

The sexual wellbeing startup has raised capital from prominent investors to support its autumn platform launch.
Kama operates a sexual wellbeing platform structured as a daily guided practice to enhance physical pleasure and mental health. The application delivers expert-backed content drawing on neuroscience, psychosexuality, and somatic therapy.
Sexual wellbeing platform Kama has secured £2.5m in a seed funding round backed by AlleyCorp, Female Founders Fund, and January Ventures. The capital injection arrives ahead of the application's autumn launch and follows broader societal trends around declining frequency of intimacy among younger demographics. Additional participants in the round include Felix Capital and The Raine Group alongside prominent angel investors.
Founded by Chloe Macintosh, the company intends to position its offering as a structured alternative to traditional unregulated therapy. The platform incorporates expert contributions from fields such as neuroscience and somatic therapy to educate users and alleviate stress. With backing from forward-thinking investors, the business aims to democratise access to specialised relationship coaching.
From the founder
"Kama is a response to the global mental health epidemic, the sex recession, and the World Association of Sexual Health’s declaration of pleasure as a human right. Our body is the most advanced technology that we will ever interact with and yet we know so little about it, and often leave it to others to make decisions about our health and sexual wellbeing which ultimately leaves us unfulfilled. We provide a solution through our unique, guided, daily practices, built in collaboration with some of the world’s best respected academics and practitioners."

Investor perspective
"Kama’s approach resonated with us because it is deeply rooted in education, relationship coaching and mindfulness. We also believe there is a huge opportunity for technology to open up new markets in taboo areas of health."
