Kaido operates a culture as a service platform that helps corporate clients build team cohesion through digital challenges. The business works with major employers such as Google and HSBC to foster employee wellbeing and connection.

Kaido has secured £400k in a seed funding round led by Longrow Capital Finance. Additional participation came from the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust through its SME Innovation Fund, working alongside the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network and Mercia.

Established to improve corporate culture and employee engagement, the Birmingham firm will direct the new capital toward expanding its headcount, building new products, and scaling its existing health and wellbeing challenges. The raise brings the company's total funding close to £600k as leadership prepares for a subsequent Series A financing later in the year.

From the founder

"Teams are crying out for a sense of shared experience as they navigate this new hybrid world. The current employee engagement model is broken, only helping a small percentage of a team. We want to create a world where every employee thrives and feels included, no matter where they are and we are delighted to partner with Longrow Capital to help make this a reality."

Investor perspective

"Longrow Capital Finance invests at the very early stage, investing in extraordinary people who think outside the box, are committed to disrupting big markets and who want to change the world. Rich and Kaido are disrupting a big market and have the potential to create a large sustainable social and environmental impact with their innovative high-tech platform. We are excited to support the business in the next phase of its journey."
