London-based Isembard operates a network of high-precision component manufacturing facilities powered by a proprietary operating system.

Isembard has secured a £7m seed round to scale its automated manufacturing platform and expand its engineering team. Notion Capital led the financing, with backing from several follow-on funds and prominent angel investors. The fresh capital will be deployed to enlarge the company's inaugural factory and further develop its proprietary software to support critical supply chains.

The funding arrives as precision manufacturing capacity faces mounting pressure from an ageing workforce and rising demand for domestic production. Isembard aims to address this challenge by deploying software-driven production units across the UK and its allies.

Investor perspective

"Isembard is tackling one of the hardest, most ambitious challenges today, bringing software-driven transformation to precision manufacturing. Alex and his team have the vision, technical expertise, and relentless execution needed to redefine this space. We’re excited to back them as they build a new industrial powerhouse."
