Intelligent Building Group secures £580k from Maven to scale operations and expand its team
Maven Equity Finance backed the Cheshire PropTech company to support sales growth and new hiring.
Intelligent Building Group develops smart hardware and software to monitor and reduce energy consumption across commercial, industrial, and residential properties. The Cheshire-based PropTech business helps property managers and landlords improve efficiency and meet sustainability targets.
Intelligent Building Group has secured £580k in seed follow-on funding from Maven Capital Partners via the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund. The capital will be deployed to strengthen sales and marketing operations and expand headcount across installation, commissioning, and operations departments.
The Cheshire-based PropTech enterprise offers proprietary smart hardware and software designed to capture utilities usage data, including electricity, gas, water, and renewables, for real-time analysis. The technology allows property managers and commercial landlords to predict energy usage accurately and lower operational costs.
The investment arrives as commercial real estate faces heightened regulatory and market pressure to adopt environmental standards aligned with national net zero targets. Backed by Maven, the business aims to scale its workforce and meet growing demand for energy management systems in the built environment.
