The investment round was led by 24Haymarket to support the company's growth plans and product expansion.
Hypetex develops proprietary technology to produce the world's first coloured carbon fibre and advanced composite materials. Its sustainable manufacturing process eliminates the need for paints while enhancing performance across multiple industries.
Advanced materials company Hypetex has secured £1.3m in seed funding to scale its operations and expand its product offerings. The investment round was led by 24Haymarket, alongside contributions from senior business leaders. The capital will be directed towards supporting growth plans, scaling manufacturing footprints, and introducing new natural fibre products. The company also aims to roll out its coloured advanced materials across the automotive, sport, and consumer electronics sectors.
Alongside the funding, Hypetex announced leadership appointments to strengthen its management structure. Neil MacDougall has joined as Chairman of the Board, while Nick Rose has been appointed as an advisor. They will work with Chief Executive Officer Marc Cohen and Chief Technology Officer Nigel Dunlea to drive international expansion.
