Oxford-based biotechnology firm HydRegen has secured £2.6m in funding from Clean Growth Fund to support the commercial development of its bio-based manufacturing technologies.

The company will use the capital to scale its operations over the next 18 months, expand its team, and license its technology to chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide. The investment aims to accelerate the deployment of greener alternatives to traditional metal catalysts.

Clean Growth Fund backed the round, bringing its clean-tech expertise to the company's commercial strategy as HydRegen works towards broader industry adoption and sustainability targets.

From the founder

This funding will speed up the development of our greener and less wasteful bio-based manufacturing technologies, allowing us to help chemical companies to reduce their environmental impact and carbon footprint whilst also reducing their costs.
