The student living start-up has raised a portion of its £5m target to scale operations across the UK and the US.
Housr operates a technology platform designed to transform the student living and rental market through a dedicated mobile application. The company provides solutions covering property rentals, local perks, roommate-finding, and ride-sharing.
Student living start-up Housr has secured £1.5m in seed funding to support its international expansion. The investment was led by Bachmanity Capital as part of a wider target round.
The fresh capital will enable the PropTech business to scale its team and grow its footprint across the UK and the US. Housr recently acquired an online student community in Leeds ahead of its upcoming regional rollout.
The company has experienced strong growth following its initial operations in Manchester and Birmingham. Management projects strong recurring revenues as the platform expands its user base and brand partnerships.
From the founder
"We have proved our platform and business model to be the future of student lettings in two of the country’s biggest cities. We’re now ready to disrupt the property market in the rest of the UK. Our intuitive and frictionless app streamlines each step of the rental process, from search to management, and utilities. This makes it easy for tenants and agents to manage their home in a single place."
