Hope Macy secures £1.5m in seed funding to expand its financial vulnerability platform
The Development Bank of Wales backed the round to help scale open banking tools addressing financial vulnerability.
Hope Macy provides a regulated Open Banking and artificial intelligence platform designed to help lenders and debt management firms identify and support financially vulnerable consumers.
Hope Macy has secured £1.5m in seed funding from the Development Bank of Wales and an angel network. The capital will support the expansion of its regulated open banking and artificial intelligence platform across the United Kingdom.
The company operates an integrated technology suite that includes DataFlex for vulnerability analytics, Affordwise for credit assessment, and Family Connect for transaction monitoring. Lenders and debt management firms currently utilise the software to evaluate low-income borrowers and meet regulatory obligations under the Financial Conduct Authority.
Chief executive Sam Manning noted the company engagement with regulators and lenders to address under-served markets. The fresh capital arrives as growing numbers of consumers face debt and financial distress.
