Homeppl operates a tenant referencing platform that evaluates financial risk for property renters using open banking and behavioural analysis. The company aims to prevent rental fraud and improve access for overlooked applicants.
Homeppl has secured $1.4m in a funding round valuing the company at $13.5m post-money. The investment was led by ParticleX and Venionaire Ventures on behalf of the European Super Angels Club.
The fresh capital will be directed towards international expansion into several European cities and scaling the existing team of over 30 professionals. This latest injection brings the company total seed funding to more than $5m.
Founded by Alexander Siedes, the business combines open banking data with proprietary fraud detection tests to verify tenant affordability and mitigate defaults for letting agents.
