HomeCooks operates a marketplace that enables independent food creators to sell pre-prepped meals nationwide by managing storage, freezing, and distribution.
HomeCooks has secured $3.1m in a seed funding round led by Speedinvest to support its nationwide expansion across the UK. The financing included participation from DFF, Love Ventures, Rianta, and angels from the Ventures Together Consortium, alongside a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs.
The platform enables independent chefs to produce meals in batches while HomeCooks manages storage, freezing, and dispatch operations. The fresh capital will be deployed to scale the business and bring over one thousand food creators onto the platform.
Founder Joshua Magidson previously established Zing Zing and Eatstudent, drawing on extensive background experience in the food technology sector. The company originated as a lockdown community initiative before developing proprietary technology to serve thousands of customers.
