HeySummit secures £760k in seed funding led by Techstart Ventures to scale its virtual event platform
Techstart Ventures led the round with backing from Active Capital and Ankur Nagpal.
HeySummit provides a software platform designed to simplify the organisation, marketing, and management of virtual events. The company serves a diverse global user base ranging from enterprises to individual creators.
Edinburgh-based virtual event platform HeySummit has secured £760k in seed funding to support its growth. The round was led by Techstart Ventures, with participation from Active Capital and Teachable founder Ankur Nagpal.
The capital arrives as the platform experiences rapid expansion amid increased demand for remote communication tools. HeySummit has hosted thousands of events and served millions of attendees globally, catering to a broad user base from large organisations to independent creators.
The investment underscores the rising prominence of online event infrastructure. Management intends to use the fresh capital to further develop its offering and scale operations as virtual engagement becomes a permanent fixture.

Investor perspective
"They’re going about virtual events in a new way. For them, it’s a community that you’re building, and what drew us to HeySummit was not just being able to create beautiful summits, but the focus on what to do after the event finishes. It’s much more holistic and valuable,"
