HelloDone secures £2.3m in seed funding from Telefonica and Finance Birmingham to scale its conversational platform
The conversational platform formerly known as Dazzle has raised its first seed financing from corporate and government backers.
HelloDone provides an automated conversation platform that enables companies in transport, home delivery and utilities to manage customer engagement through messaging channels and voice assistants. Formerly known as Dazzle, the business builds B2B2C white-labeled solutions to streamline everyday consumer tasks.
HelloDone, previously known as Dazzle, has secured £2.3m in its first seed funding round. The investment was backed by corporate and government backers including Telefonica and Finance Birmingham.
The capital will be deployed to expand the company pipeline through targeted investments in team growth and technology development, refining the core conversational platform. Alongside the financing, the business has officially completed its corporate rebrand to HelloDone.
Founded by Ed Hodges and Pete Shannon, HelloDone provides tools for transport, utilities and home delivery providers to handle customer interactions via channels such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Alexa. The fresh funding follows previous financial support from Finance Birmingham via the Rail Supply Growth Fund during the preceding year.
From the founder
"The response to our tech and proposition has been incredible. We’ve always believed that we had a transformational product with HelloDone so to have such strong backing gives us even more confidence. Businesses have to start meeting consumers where they are, on WhatsApp, on Facebook Messenger, on Alexa and all the other messaging channels. HelloDone is scaling it’s conversational platform using natural language processing to enable businesses in the Transport, Home Delivery and Utilities space to solve customer needs via messaging channels and voice assistants. It’s an amazing platform and the funding will enable us to capture the growth potential we believe exists."
