Edinburgh-based GSi has secured £775k in its second funding round, closing the transaction on December 16. The capital was provided by Par Equity, the Scottish Investment Bank, and Green Angel Syndicate.

The company uses machine learning predictive analytics combined with frequent satellite observations to generate commercial data for clients. Its technology is currently deployed to monitor timber volumes, soil carbon, and forest carbon projects, alongside developing global crop yield predictions.

Previously, GSi raised £400k in February 2013 from Par Equity and the Scottish Investment Bank.
