Grow Lab Organics secures £1m in seed funding to launch a community-owned medicinal cannabis platform.
The seed round features backing from Saul Milton and Mark Wilkinson to support European expansion.
Grow Lab Organics is a British medicinal cannabis startup operating a licenced cultivation facility on the Isle of Man.
Grow Lab Organics has secured £1m in seed funding to advance its medicinal cannabis operations and launch a community ownership model. The investment round included participation from music producer Saul Milton and Mark Wilkinson.
The capital supports the company as it establishes its Isle of Man facility and develops proprietary supply chain technology aimed at improving transparency and patient access. Alongside the funding, the firm has partnered with patient group Cancard to broaden community representation within its corporate structure.
From the founder
"Since medicinal cannabis was legalised five years ago, patients have continued to struggle to obtain quality products through the legal market. Not only is the calibre often very hit and miss, there are also only a handful of strains to choose from; which don’t suit everyone. However, access to this medication is life changing and essential to over a million people in the UK today. By opening equity and a seat at the table to the community, GLO is truly democratising a space that was unreachable for many."
