London-based waste analytics startup Greyparrot has closed an £8.8m Series A funding round led by Una Terra. The round drew participation from several investors including Closed Loop Partners, Unreasonable Collective, and SpeedInvest. The capital will be deployed to scale the company presence internationally, extend technology coverage to additional waste categories, and accelerate research and development initiatives.
Founded in 2019, Greyparrot applies computer vision to track billions of packaging items within sorting facilities. Its analytics platform assists major operators and producers in raising recycling efficiency and meeting sustainability targets amid mounting regulatory pressure.

We are putting a monetary value on waste – something that is perceived to have a negative value.
