GPDQ raises £2m Series A funding from IW Capital to scale healthcare services

GPDQ

The funding round was led by IW Capital to support the expansion of GPDQ as it responds to rising healthcare demand.

£2.0MSeries A

GPDQ is a primary healthcare provider delivering services nationwide for the NHS, public bodies, and corporate clients through multiple channels. The company offers clinical resources including consultations, health assessments, and immunisations.

Primary healthcare provider GPDQ has secured £2m in a Series A funding round led by private equity firm IW Capital. The capital will be deployed to expand market operations with the NHS, employers and insurers by strengthening sales, marketing and technology infrastructure.

The injection comes as demand for telehealth and community medical services rises during the Covid-19 pandemic. GPDQ plans to utilise the funds to scale its clinical network and assist organisations in safely managing workforce transitions.

IW Capital noted strong interest from its investor base to back the healthcare firm despite broader economic uncertainty. The transaction highlights the role of private equity in supporting growing medical enterprises addressing national challenges.

From the founder

"We set out five years ago with a vision to build a more sustainable healthcare system in the UK by working with the NHS, employers and insurers to deliver more care closer to patients out in the community. We’ve worked hard to build a community of clinicians who believe passionately in the ability of technology and new ways of working to achieve that goal. Whether the route to connect is through a visit, in a clinic or over the video, the personal interaction between doctor and patient is at the heart of everything we do."

Investor perspective

"We had an overwhelming demand from our investor base to support this GPDQ raise despite widespread economic uncertainty, and this demonstrates the value of private capital in ensuring that innovative SMEs can still access the funding they need to grow."
