GlycanAge is a biotechnology firm that commercialises decades of research into glycan biomarkers to provide biological age tests. The company is transitioning its focus from longevity services toward the broader diagnostics market.

Biotechnology startup GlycanAge has secured £3.3m in seed financing to accelerate its transition from the longevity sector into the diagnostics market. The investment was co-led by LAUNCHub Ventures and Kadmos Capital.

The fresh capital will be directed towards establishing a formal regulatory strategy and building out a product pipeline for disease-specific prognostic biomarkers. This financing builds on previous non-dilutive backing, including grants from HUB71 and the European Union.

Founded to commercialise years of research in glycobiology, the company offers biological age testing designed to enable early intervention strategies for both consumers and medical professionals.
