Glimpse Protocol secures £1.3m in seed funding from Force Over Mass and angels to expand engineering
Force Over Mass led the seed round for the privacy-first advertising platform.
Glimpse Protocol operates a privacy-first advertising platform that delivers targeted digital ads without exposing consumer data. The London-based startup relies on edge processing and cryptography to keep users anonymous.
Glimpse Protocol has secured £1.3m in a seed round led by Force Over Mass, alongside contributions from high-profile angel investors and support from Innovate UK. The capital will be directed towards expanding the engineering team following recent commercial tests.
The London-based startup has developed a cookieless ad platform designed to maintain user anonymity while delivering high return on investment for brands. The funding arrives as the digital advertising sector faces increasing regulatory pressure and the impending removal of third-party cookies by major tech platforms.
Participants in the round include industry figures such as former Kantar chief executive Eric Salama and Lovefilm co-founder Simon Franks. The company plans to use the fresh capital to scale operations and capitalise on growing demand for privacy-compliant marketing infrastructure.
From the founder
"Our vision for Glimpse Protocol is to set new standards for privacy in advertising, becoming the kitemark that consumers can trust. This investment enables us to roll out our technology that delivers valuable, effective advertising while respecting consumer privacy. With consumers, regulators and tech giants taking action on data privacy, the digital advertising industry is seeking a solution that can weather technical changes and increasingly stringent privacy requirements. Unlike our competitors, who offer partial stopgaps, Glimpse Protocol provides a uniquely clear vision of how the problem can and must be tackled."

Investor perspective
"Digital advertising needs to be re-shaped both for the good of the public and also for advertisers. Glimpse Protocol’s approach is exciting and timely and has the potential to disrupt an industry by allowing advertisers to reach the audiences they need but in an ethical way that respects consumer privacy and pays publishers a fair price. It’s a real breakthrough and I’m convinced that they will be both a commercial success but also a champion for the consumer. I am very proud to be a part of their journey."
