Gendo secures $1.1m in pre-seed funding to expand its architectural AI platform.
Concept Ventures led the pre-seed investment round to help scale the London-based team and accelerate product features.
London-based Gendo provides an artificial intelligence platform designed to streamline and accelerate architectural visualisation.
Gendo has secured $1.1m in pre-seed funding to expand its proprietary AI tools and grow its London team. The oversubscription round was led by Concept Ventures, with participation from Ascension Ventures, Baobab Ventures, and several industry angels.
Founded by George Proud and Will Jones, the company emerged to address the time-consuming process of architectural rendering. Its browser-based platform converts 2D drawings and prompts into editable visualisations, helping practices accelerate workflow.
The fresh capital will support the rollout of new features for architects and designers following an initial beta phase used by prominent firms such as Zaha Hadid Architects and David Chipperfield Architects.
From the founder
"Mainstream generative image platforms can be really impressive, but they simply aren’t fit for purpose when it comes to a sector like architecture and design. In our industry, detail and precision is everything. Gendo has been designed specifically for these professionals; we’ve built an AI platform that speeds up design work and allows creativity to flourish."

Investor perspective
"Concept Ventures are delighted to have led Gendo’s pre-seed round last year. We strongly believe that the products built by (and for) domain experts in a post-AI era can truly transform workplace productivity and deliver order-of-magnitude improvements to their daily workflows. We can’t wait to see what this great team builds next."
