Gardin secures £8.2m in seed funding led by Molten Ventures to scale agricultural technology.

The seed round was led by Molten Ventures to fund international growth and sensor manufacturing.

£8.2MSeed

Gardin builds hardware and software to monitor plant health and physiological traits in controlled environments. The company uses optical sensors and machine learning to give growers real-time operational insights.

Gardin has secured £8.2m in seed funding to expand its agricultural technology operations in Europe and North America. The round was led by Molten Ventures, with additional participation from LDV Capital, MMC Ventures and Seedcamp.

The capital will be deployed to scale sensor manufacturing and accelerate readiness for high-volume production. Gardin also intends to launch new analytics features, including nutritional density mapping and crop forecasting, while growing its client base across vertical farms and greenhouses.

The fresh injection follows a £1.2m pre-seed round earlier in the year. The company has previously received backing from the UK government innovation agency IUK via a SMART grant to advance its technology.
